Our Langkawi Sunset Cruise package as a short romantic getaway; others may see it as a relaxing, toned-down evening of peace and quiet. Either way, our Langkawi Sunset Cruise package comes in an affordable price range for both adults and children to hop on board. Get together with your partner, families or friends, treat yourselves to an evening experience you will not forget. We will let you see the stunning dramatical sunset.
Cruising, while enjoying drinks with great company is the perfect way to finish the day and start the evening. It is an excellent time of day for venturing out to sea, with the sun low in the sky with the temperature is too warm. Feel the wind on your face and listen to the sound of the waves. You will experience the relaxing serenity, yet exciting feeling of traditionally traversing the Andaman Sea, while viewing the many beautiful islands of Langkawi.
We meet at 3.30 pm at the bar Charlie's Place in the basement of the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club in Kuah and return here again after sunset. Myself or Maran will be here and you can do the payment then with him or me in cash or by credit card. We leave at 4 pm. The ship sails for some 5 miles to the north west coast to Pulau Tuba, which takes about one hour. Sometimes dolphins accompany us for a while – that is always spectacular but can never be guaranteed.
Here you can explore the area either by Kayak or by dinghy or just take a refreshing swim and have fun jumping off the upper deck or the bowsprit. Protected in between 2 islands this has been a pirate’s-hide-away for centuries as we are at the very end of the Straights of Malacca.
After about 1 hour we weigh anchor and cruise through our a stunning area where you are surrounded by steep limestone cliffs of the uninhabited islands, covered with lush tropical forest.
While cruising we serve you a variety of our delicious tapas, such as seafood salad, chicken sate, prawns (vegetarian on request!)
We serve you our famous and delicious dinner, freshly prepared on board and decoratively laid out on banana-leaves. As the sun sets to the west, we steer towards Kuah bay. The tropical sunset here can be like the sky is on fire.
You are now opposite of our highest mountain Gunung Raya and the fire-like red clouds sometimes give the false impression of this mountain being a volcano – impressive! We steer back to the marina before it gets completely dark and then invite you for a last drink or two before we order you a taxi to pick you up.
